Travel Diaries – Rome

January 9, 2011

Welcome to the first edition of Travel Diaries. Lately I have been fascinated with travel, other countries and everything they allow you to experience. Travel diaries allows us all to live vicariously though those who have recently travelled. Here is where they tell us all about it.

Jackie Morgan is a teacher at an expats School in Qatar and spends her holidays experiencing fabulous countries and having wonderful adventures. I always love hearing her stories so for the first edition I asked this amazing women (who is also my mum!) to share her recent trip to Rome with us.

Enjoy lovelies xx

P.S We would love for you to share your stories with us to! Email enquiries@wight.co.nz for further info.

Where I stayed: Rome, Arezzo, Rimini and Milan. Hotel Badia di Pomaio set in the hills of Tuscany, above Arezzo, was very beautiful.
What I ate: A whole pizza!! Melon and Prosciutto Salad, Spaghetti, Ice-cream
What I saw: Amazing history
What amazed me: In Rome: St Peter’s Basilica. In Arezzo: The peacefulness at Hotel Badia di Pomaio. In Rimini: That you rent your space, umbrella and loungers, at the beach for the season. And in Milan: Teatro alla Scala – a stunning theatre
Who I met: My friend’s welcoming family
Favorite thing I bought: Earrings in Rome
What I wore: Cargo shorts, T shirt, cap and walking shoes!!! (I wouldn’t let anyone include my feet in photos). On a more fashionable note my black Sass and Bide skinny jeans and Salasai’s big T.
